"We were texting late again, and the conversation slowly turned into something… different. Not obvious, not direct, just subtle things. The kind of messages that mean more than what they actually say. At one point they said, “If you were here right now, things would be complicated.” I didn’t even know how to respond to that. I just stared at my screen, feeling my heart race over a sentence that didn’t even say much… but somehow said everything."
